      I tumble off my trampoline after a flip, breaking my leg
      but then I climb back on and attempt it again.

        I am hopeful.
        I still wish that Grammy will come home for Christmas
        even though I went to her funeral last month.

          I am forgiving.
          I'll accept Johnny's fake apology for tearing off Barbie's head
          and share my Animal Crackers with him.

            I am loving.
            I allow strangers to hug me and call me "Honey",
            I know they mean well by it.

              I am young.
              I can be anyone. I can strive or I cannot.
